Why did you decide to become a dentist?
Dr. LaCap was drawn to dentistry because it allows her to fulfill all of her passions in life: help people on a daily basis, regularly give back to the community and be a highly-effective parent. She loves that she has the opportunity to improve people’s health and appearance on a daily basis while also having plenty of time to head home and be a wonderful mother to her children.
Where did you study dentistry?
Dr. LaCap completed her Aesthetic Advantage Certification at New York University and received her D.D.S. degree from the Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. She completed her residency at Englewood Hospital and has since received advanced training in dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, full-face orthodontics, Invisalign™, endodontics, periodontal therapy, patient management, and restorative dentistry.

Life Outside of Dentistry
Dr. LaCap and Dr. Tong first met in dental school--in fact, they were anatomy lab partners. Was it love at first sight? You’ll have to ask them! After over 28 years of working together as dentists, they still share the same passion for creating beautiful and healthy smiles.
Another passion they share together is their love for each other and their five children. Their weekends are spent watching their sons’ soccer or baseball games - they have never missed one yet. When they are not in the dental office working, you can find them on the slopes skiing or boating on the Hudson River.
